Flowers Plantation would like to inform the residents on the east end the gate issue has not been abandoned. We recently received an update from Secure Access Services, the company that is responsible for installing and maintaining the gates. Unfortunately their schedule has been affected quite a bit by the continuous wet weather, staff out due to quarantine and COVID issues, and supply chain issues. They are hopeful that these challenges are almost over and they will be making visible progress in the weeks to come. Residents who own golf carts will be required to register their golf carts. You can do this online by clicking the button below or by visiting us at 500 Flowers Parkway “The Visitor Center”. Once registered you will receive a decal that needs to be placed on the back of the golf cart for proof of registration.
Starting the first week of February, security will be back on site at Flowers Plantation. Please make sure that your golf carts are registered, as violations will be issued. In the next newsletter, we will provide a map of the areas that indicate the Foundation areas monitored by the new security company, and their history and purpose.

All you need is a Johnston County Library Card. Here’s how it works: -Go online at https://www.pljcs.org/flowers to search for and reserve books, just remember, you do need a Johnston County Affiliated Library card to use this service! Don’t have a card? Sign up for a virtual card to get access to our online resources, then visit us at the Library at 305 E Market St. in Smithfield. Bring your picture ID with proof of your current address to get your permanent card. Students and Teachers – You can use your Powerschool ID just like a card and get access to everything plus the Grab-n-Go too! Have questions? Call the library at 919-934-8146, option 2 to schedule a time to pick up your card and for any other assistance.
